Film at the Old Market Hall

A truly unique cinematic experience awaits guests to The Old Market Hall with a luxury film theatre, stylish café bar and one of the most beautiful buildings in the whole county. The luxury film theatre has plenty of legroom, double seats and the latest Dolby Surround Stereo. You may also take drinks purchased from the café bar into the theatre.

The film programme is an eclectic mix with films from all over the world, screened seven days a week. The Old Market Hall is committed to screening films that educate, inspire, move and entertain; whilst showing the best of mainstream cinema the centre also shows many British, classic and foreign films. The 'Cultural Cinema' programme has proved extremely popular with audiences and we would always advise guests to book their tickets in advance to secure their favourite seats.

The Old Market Hall Film Society

The Old Market Hall Film Society gives its members the opportunity to select the films they want to watch and it provides a platform for film-based discussion and a great opportunity to meet like minded people. We also provide Film Society members with special talks and presentations giving them a further insight into the films we screen.
