500 Miles

The Old Market Hall offers film screening exclusive to parents and guardian with babies up to 12 months old. The sound is lowered, and lighting levels are raised, to create a more relaxed and sociable environment to enjoy the film with other new parents.

Finn and his younger brother Charlie run away from their home in Yorkshire to avoid getting split up by their separating parents. They try to reach the wild west coast of Ireland, home of their beloved and eccentric grandad, John, whom they haven’t been allowed to see due to events of the previous summer.

On their 500-mile journey across land and sea, they must rely on their wit and the kindness of strangers – especially from free-spirited busker, Kait, who is escaping troubles of her own.

The Choral

The best response to the chaos of war is to make music together.

As war rages on the Western Front in 1916, the Choral Society in Ramsden, Yorkshire has lost most of its men to the army. The committee recruits local young males to swell their ranks and appoints Dr. Henry Guthrie as their new chorus master, a man who is driven and uncompromising.

Having recently returned from a career in Germany, the others suspect he is hiding something. However, the community discovers that the best response to the chaos of war is to make music together.
