Steve Abbott, a queer poet trying to balance fatherhood and his writing with his enthusiastic exploration of his sexuality, heads to San Francisco to claim his authentic self during the exhilarating early days of gay liberation in the 1970s, as seen through the eyes of his Eight-year-old daughter, who is along for the ride of her young life.

This poignant adaptation of Alysia Abbot’s memoir captures the essence of freedom and possibility along with the heartbreaking reality of the AIDS crisis.
