Following the sudden death of his father, 18-year-old Totone finds himself responsible for both his younger sister and their struggling dairy farm in France’s Jura region.

Determined to turn things around, he sets his sights on crafting the region’s finest Comté cheese, hoping to win 30,000 euros at an agricultural competition.

Holy Cow offers a gritty portrait of rural life in France. It’s a coming-of-age tale and above all an ode to the love of cheese.
